I’m sure many of you are aware of my ambition to one day qualify and compete at the Kona Ironman World Championships. So far, I have completed 8 x 70.3 Ironmans (including 2 trips to the 70.3 Ironman World Championships) and was waiting for the perfect time to perform the perfect Ironman race and get to Kona. Well unfortunately, I don’t know if I have time to keep waiting around so I decided to enter the Kona Inspired competition. With your vote (and judge’s decision) I hope to be one of the people chosen to represent the Kona Inspired team and let the world know that “Anything is Possible” by competing at the Kona Ironman World Championships in October, 2013.
Here is the link to my video (voting bottom left corner of video)
Urgent! There is only 24 h left to vote (ends 23.59 EST Tuesday May 7) so please, please, please, take the time and vote now and please, please, please share with your friends.
Thanks so much!

One of our fellow Good Friday volunteers, Petrina Tulissi, is looking for volunteer marshals on Sunday, July 15 from 7:30 to 9:00 am for a leg of the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure that rolls through Hamilton.
“I am the Tour Director for the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure, a cycling holiday from Niagara to the Quebec border. This year will be our 5th year organizing this fun and social event – exact opposite of racing, it’s about finding the best espresso, beer, cookie, and patio.
This year we plan to ride from the Waterfront Trail at Confederation Park over the new bridge and in to Pier 8 then looping along North Shore to Burlington. The route is permanently signed with Waterfront Trail signs, at least all but 10 km from the new bridge to Pier 8.
I was wondering if the Hamilton Cycling Club would be willing to help marshal some turns on Sunday, July 15 from 7:30 to 9:00 am for the section that is not signed. The volunteers would be welcome to ride with us in to Toronto (we’ll be starting at 50 Point Conservation Area) and enjoy the hoopla along the way. Juniors are welcome.”
If you’re interested, please contact Petrina at 416-458-6859 or cyclingcentre(at)gmail.com.
The Hamililton Cycling Club would like to thank Brian Chewter, owner of Central Cycle and Brett Liersch of East Side Mario’s (Upper James, Hamilton) for their incredible support of our club, racing program, and club events. Their sponsorship of our club helped fund our racers, provided prizes for our events and we will always be grateful for their support.
