Shelly McKee led the S3/Master & Junior women for most of that group’s race with a 30 sec lead but the peleton got swept up to her when overtaken by M3 Men. She was edged out by just 6 seconds!

Congrats to Sarah Rasmussen for WINNING today’s Elite 1/2 Women time trial at the Bike the Bruce O-Cup race in Kemble, ON. She took the best time – and is now in top spot on the Ontario Cup rankings! Way to go Sarah!
Also be sure to give props for Chris Rowley, another HCC rider, who placed second in Elite 4 Men. Way to go Chris, great results for you and the club!

The weekend’s Provincial Road Championship races at Holland Marsh in Bradford, Ontario saw a good turnout of HCC riders. The day began with pleasant weather but by noon thunder, lightning and lashings of rain arrived. The second wave of races had to be neutralized and restarted. Ditto the 3rd wave which finally had to be shortened to the lap in progress for a sprint finish.

Master Women: Shelly McKee 3rd

First up, a congrats to Albion Hills mountain bike O-Cup racer Shawn Gower who was 8th in Master Sport on a scorcher of a day.

Congrats to Sarah Rasmussen for her 2nd place finish on Stage 3 of the Mississippi Mills Grand Prix, a stage race held June 1-3 that was also Ontario Cup #4. Sarah was 4th in the time trial, 7th in the criterium, and 2nd in the road race! Full results
