This coming Sunday, they are closing King St in downtown Hamilton to traffic, for an ‘Open Streets’ celebration.
King Street will be closed to motor vehicles 10am to 2pm, from King and Gage to King and John Street, with a variety of events (including cycling-related stuff) along the way.
The weather is looking good and if nothing else, it would be kinda’ fun to ride up and down King St without getting run-over and moving slow enough to look around and see all the stuff you miss when you’re driving your car!
The scheduled criterium for tomorrow has been cancelled because of a poor weather forecast.
Because of the poor air quality resulting from wildfires across Canada, Speed Week races will be postponed. Stay tuned for the new dates.
You can stay up to date with the latest air quality readings and forecast on the Government of Canada website here.
Health recommendations for air quality levels are below (taken from the same website).
